About The Team
The Cloud Engineering Team uses modern tools and best practices to automate new functions and features in cloud applications and infrastructure. Through a software engineering lens, we improve consistency and reliability across multiple cloud platforms using GitOps, Terraform, and ArgoCD (for Kubernetes applications). We are passionate about code and the power of automation to simplify complex processes.
As a Co-op/Intern Cloud Developer, Platform Engineering within the Cloud Engineering Team, you will learn about how DevOps, automation, CI/CD pipeline, GitOps, infrastructure, development and monitoring drive the successful deployment of cloud infrastructure and applications
Location: This is a hybrid position. You must be in the Ottawa, Canada office, at least three days a week
Term Duration: This is a full-time, 8 or 12-month position, starting May 2026
Co-op or Intern: This position is open to co-ops and interns. To be eligible for a Co-op or Intern position at Kinaxis, you must either be currently enrolled in full-time education or, if you are a recent/upcoming graduate, your graduation date must be within 12 months of the placement end date.
Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required to obtain CGRP Security Clearance, a requirement of the role.
Compensation range: $25.24 - $37.02 hourly rate . The final offer within this range will reflect the candidate’s skills, year of education and experience.

What You Will Do
Apply software engineering principles to application and operations challenges focusing on automation and self-healing
Build and manage, stable & secure cloud automation using cloud orchestration capabilities, scripting languages and APIs to design, code, test, implement and support Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Participate in team code reviews and design reviews
May perform additional projects upon request
What We Are Looking For
Currently enrolled in a post-secondary diploma or degree program in computer science or a related discipline
Self-starter, and curious about technology with a desire to learn about Cloud Engineering and DevOps
Team player who thrives in a continually changing environment
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Foundational knowledge of Computer Science principles, data structures and algorithms
Familiarity with Cloud technologies, Container platforms, GitOps and DevOps is considered an asset
Experience with Go, Python, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes is considered an asset
