Job Title: Business Analyst – Non-IT III

Location: Waterloo, ON (also open to Toronto)

Work Model: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week

Contract Duration: 18 months, with potential for extension based on business needs and performance

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM (standard 37.5 hrs/week); meetings may begin as early as 8:00 AM

Global Role: Flexibility required for occasional evening calls with colleagues in Asia

This is an exciting opportunity to work on emerging technologies within a dynamic HR tech environment. The role supports a 3-year roadmap focused on enabling AI capabilities, performance enablement, and tech transformation. You’ll collaborate with HR domain experts and contribute to impactful global initiatives.

Summary

As a Digital Business Analyst & Test Lead, you will partner closely with the PeopleComms Tech Enablement Lead, our Centers of Excellence and IT Partners, to support requirements elicitation and own the test strategy, execution oversight, and defect management for PeopleComms technology initiatives. You’ll collaborate with global stakeholders, analyze workflows, and ensure successful delivery and continuous improvement across projects, incremental enhancements, and BAU.

Description:

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

1. 3+ years in a Business Systems Analyst or HR Systems capacity supporting enterprise HR/PeopleComms technology (projects and BAU).

2. Hands on Test Lead experience owning test strategy, planning, execution oversight, and defect management/triage.

3. Experience with HR SaaS platforms such as Workday, Cornerstone, EdCast, Gallup, Workhuman, or similar.

4. Practical knowledge of SDLC (agile and/or waterfall), and functional/non functional test methodologies (user acceptance, system/integration, release/regression).

5. Proficiency with test & defect management tools (e.g., Test Plans/Xray, JIRA)

6. Strong facilitation and communication skills; comfortable leading workshops, UAT sessions, and triage with global stakeholders.

Nice to have

1. Human Centered Design exposure, CHRP/CHRL, or PMP.

2. Familiarity with accessibility testing practices, performance testing concepts, and HR data privacy standards.

3. Experience coordinating with vendors/managed services within HR tech ecosystems.

4. Configuration or Coding experience

Education:

• Bachelor's degree is preferred.
